The very Rev. Benjamin B. Maddison
RectoR
dean, woodbury convocation

Ben was born in Philadelphia, but his childhood was spent in South Jersey, first in West Deptford, then settling into his hometown of Voorhees, New Jersey.

After earning a B.A. magna cum laude in American History at Rutgers University-Camden, Ben worked in retail and consumer banking with Citizens Bank for over five years. In that time, Ben also worked as an instructor at the Kaizer School of Art, youth leader at Grace Episcopal Church in Haddonfield, and as a preloader and Safety Coordinator at the United Parcel Service.

He received his Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary in 2015, graduating with honors. His honors thesis, "The Five Mark of Mission and Missio Dei: Four Practices for Engagement," examined practical ways to identify and participate with God's mission in local contexts.

Before coming to Holy Trinity, he served as a curate to St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Waco, Texas. Ben also has written for the Mockingbird blog and magazine, as well as for Episcopal Digital Network.
